PELLENC SECURION safety cabinets – store and charge Li-ion batteries safely!
November 3, 2025
Lithium-ion batteries have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in radio equipment, medical devices or power tools. However, faulty or improperly charged batteries pose risks. In the event of a fire, insurers are increasingly refusing to settle claims.
PELLENC SECURION safety cabinets with patented technology comply with all insurance requirements. PELLENC therefore already offers investment and operational security with a view to the foreseeable insurance-related and legal regulations concerning the charging and storage of batteries. Â
SECURION safety cabinets have been specially developed for the safe storage and simultaneous charging of lithium-ion batteries. They have a Type 90 classification and have been successfully tested by the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for explosive combustion inside the cabinet.
The key benefits at a glance:Â
- Automatic door closure (patented): Doors close and lock automatically in the event of a fire; prevents the fire from spreading unnoticed to the surrounding area, particularly outside operating hoursÂ
- Efficient flue gas extraction: Â Easy removal of vapours and flue gases via HT pipe (optional)
- No structural separation required: Safe storage even without separate fire compartments.Â
- Manufacturer-independent use: Compatible with batteries from all manufacturers.Â
- Made in Germany: The charging and storage cabinet was developed and manufactured in Germany by one of the country's leading manufacturers of safety cabinets.
