“With the new building, our logistics will become more efficient, and we will be able to store eight times as much of products. In addion, we will be able to offer our customers an even broader range,” explains Stefan Hüttermann, CEO of Akkuplanet GmbH.
This is the company’s response to the increasing demand for its products, thus ensuring the familiar fast deliveries to its customers. The specialist in mobile energy and mobile communication solutions is investing about 1.5 million Euro in the new building.
Akkuplanet bought the plot of land opposite the company headquarters in Meerbusch-Strümp. The warehouse shed, 20 x 30 m in size, will be set up in modular construction, so that extensions to keep pace with the growth that the company is striving for will be possible at any time. The construction will be state-of-the-art, with a wood-and-glass outer façade and a cantilever office floor at the upper level.
The company does not emphasise the principle of sustainability only with its products. For a long time now, Akkuplanet GmbH has also been contemplating the use of energy. With a photovoltaic system on the roof of the shed, the company will generate a large proportion of its energy requirements and store the generated power in batteries.
